What QuietPad does

QuietPad is a plain text editor that runs entirely in your browser. There is no QuietPad server: this page talks directly to Google Drive's own API, using your own Google account, to read and save the file you're editing.

What we access

QuietPad requests the drive.file Google Drive scope. This scope only grants access to files you explicitly open through QuietPad — either by picking one from the in-app file picker, or by choosing “Open with QuietPad” on a file directly in Google Drive. QuietPad cannot see, list, or access any other file in your Drive.

What we store

Nothing, on our side. QuietPad has no database and no server-side storage of any kind. The only place your file content exists is your own Google Drive and, temporarily, your browser's memory while a tab is open.

Third parties

QuietPad does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts of any kind, and does not share any data with third parties. The only other party involved is Google itself, via its own Drive and sign-in APIs, governed by Google's own privacy policy.
